To give you a glimpse into my background, My name is George Hernandez. Professionally, I’ve spent almost 25 years in the business and manufacturing realm 🏭, navigating the chaotic and rushed world of cooperative meetings and metrics 📊, serving mainly as a production planner and raw material buyer for numerous companies. However, this has always been secondary.

My true passion and the heart ❤️, voice 🗣️, and pen ✒️ behind my journey lie in the realm of spirituality and the exploration of peace ☮️, love 💗, and compassion 🤝. My heart has always been inclined towards words, writing, and a burning desire to understand my own nature 🌱, to discover who I was and who I am.

My journey started very young, luckily realizing the transient nature of life and the experiences that come and go 🌅. By a twist of fate, I soon recognized an untouched, unshakable presence “within” that sparked decades of exploration and self-inquiry 🧘‍♂️.

In the mid-’90s, my course of self-discovery was illuminated by teachings from various sources, including the profound wisdom of sages like Ramana Maharshi and Nisargadatta Maharaj and a pivotal book, “Be Here Now” by Ram Dass 📚. These teachings, paired with many shared experiences and self-reflections, have been my companions in this dance of life, guiding me closer to the essence of who we truly are—beyond narratives and individualities.

While my medium is words and the profound silence of listening, I don’t write about “me” or “my” journey. It’s a melody sung from the heart ❤️, an invitation to join in a shared exploration of self and understanding 🌟. In acknowledging our shared humanity and imperfections, we find liberation and a common ground to be kind to each other and laugh off the differences and distinctions the mind loves to create.

I have found joy, peace 🕊️, and clarity in this journey and have encapsulated these insights into writings and offerings, hoping to guide fellow seekers back to the core values of love, peace, and true understanding.

Please understand while narratives like the one I’ve shared are instrumental in fostering connections and shared understandings, I believe the true essence and peace shine forth when we drop all distinctions with love 💞, embracing the universal language of the heart—joyfulness and loving presence.

I would have preferred only filling this “about me & contact” section with a quote from Mr. Anthony DeMello:

“I’m an Ass, You’re an Ass. So where’s the problem?”. You see, when we openly admit this, it is the most liberating, wonderful thing in the world. This way, every time people say “you’re wrong,” we can all reply, “Well, what can you expect of an ass?”.

Laugh it off 🤷‍♂️, leave it alone, and be kind to each other 💖. However, even though I have no “personal” message, nor is this blog about “me,” as the owner, blogger, and sole writer for this website, I’ve been strongly advised to share some detailed information about “my” spiritual journey.

In such context, the following is the most relevant:

I remember being very young when I realized that every morning after a long night of sleep 💤, ¨I¨ wasn’t waking up from anything, but rather the experience of life; things and objects appeared as out of nowhere 🌞.

I gradually noticed that the same thing was happening while my body was asleep; dreams would appear from nowhere and disappear back into nothingness 🌌. At that age, I couldn’t understand or reason out why ¨I¨ never felt or experienced the disappearing of my ¨self¨, so obviously, as any average confused kid would do, I tried ignoring it and continued going through life 🛴.

As the years passed, learning and conditioning to my mind and body took place 🌱. Happiness, sadness, pain 💔, and pleasure would come and go. Success 🏆, failure ❌, gain 💰, loss 💸, wisdom 🦉, and mostly stupidity 🙃 would also negotiate visiting hours and turns.

Events and interactions would take place and eventually cease and disappear. However, when I was silent, I would notice that ¨this one¨ to whom all these experiences were coming was untouched, unshakable, and ever-present 🌀.

That led me to decades of exploration on the subject, many practices, some extreme and some mild, with a mystical experience here and there where some teachers were rushed out, and a few never left 🌟.

To this day, the inclination and joy to inquire about the nature of the SELF and peace of mind have never disappeared. The intention to share whatever is possible through the writing on this blog is the product of that inclination.

I’m not a teacher. I’m just like you, singing my own song my own way; I’m the one next to you at the coffee shop ☕, nothing special, a friendly blogger writing about self-inquiry, peace of mind, and the possibility of unconditional love 💗.
